IT Support Engineer
Job Description
Join Veredan, a growing IT support and consultancy business based near London. We’re expanding our team and seeking an enthusiastic individual to provide exceptional IT support to our diverse portfolio of clients, ranging from digital agencies to SaaS providers, healthcare institutions, and media companies
About Us
At Veredan, we’re committed to delivering top-tier IT support services tailored to our clients’ needs. As an IT Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clients’ IT infrastructure and the successful execution of strategic IT initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating an IT service desk, managing the service queues and providing support to our clients in accordance with prescribed SLAs
- Provide comprehensive client support, including troubleshooting workstations, software assistance, security implementation, and proactive data management
- Facilitate seamless client on-boarding and off-boarding processes, ensuring adherence to IT procedures while maintaining stringent security standards
- Proactively manage and maintain clients’ physical and digital infrastructure, encompassing networks, telecoms, systems, data backup, and disaster recovery
- Collaborate closely with team members to address urgent client issues, share knowledge, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Windows Active Directory and/or MS Entra management, with hands-on experience in user administration, group policy management, and directory services
- Strong administration skills in MS Entra, Microsoft 365, and Google Workspace, with the ability to deploy, configure, and manage cloud-based services
- Proven ability to support a diverse range of operating systems, including Windows, Mac, and Linux, with a focus on user support, system configuration, and troubleshooting
- Demonstrated expertise with QNAP/Synology NAS and Ubiquity Unifi networking equipment, including configuration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
- Familiarity with SaaS tools such as 1Password, Slack, Zoom, Mimecast, Monday.com, Slite, Jira and Confluence, with experience integrating and supporting these platforms within client environments
- A genuine willingness to learn new technologies and tools, coupled with a proactive approach to professional development and skills enhancement
Desired Skills
- Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) software such as Jamf, Google’s MDM, or Microsoft Intune, including device provisioning, configuration, and policy management

- Competitive salary based on experience and skills (£30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year)
- 20 days holiday, plus bank holidays

Eduction & Experience
- Certificate of Higher Education preferred, but not essential
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Active Directory/MS Entra support, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Windows Desktop, and Mac OS
- Minimum 4 years of general IT support experience in a professional setting
